Once again we are delighted to have been able to sign up Tommy Smith to not only create his alternative set for our Sunday night outdoor milonga, but to also give those who have not heard his traditional music a set that shows off his Golden Age chops on Saturday afternoon. Tommy has been DJing both locally in his tango home of Boise and the national festival circuit since 2013. His focus while DJing is simple: keep people’s feet on the floor. Mixed-music milongas are a format he prides himself in, playing tango songs people love alongside fresh modern music in an energetic blend. To educate and motivate beginning DJs, progressing DJs, and those interested in tango music, he offers semi-regular DJ workshops.
