Founded in 1931, The Mansion is a treasured national landmark and historic legacy. It’s one of the best examples of Georgian Revival architecture remaining in the South.

Since the early twentieth century, The Mansion has been a pillar in the community, hosting thousands of events and galas. Designed by architect Henry Coke Knight, the building features over 11,000 square feet of event space, ready for celebration.

THE GRAND BALLROOM

Ornate sixteen-foot windows and vaulted thirty-foot ceilings frame this spacious and light-filled ballroom, which is perfect for Milongas.  And the curtained stage completes the space and highlights our DJs.

PARKING

There are 67 complimentary spaces at a garage located at 2401 Longview Street, 2 blocks or 0.2 miles from The Mansion.  There is also metered street parking in the vicinity.  Stay tuned for additional parking details.

Austin Scottish Rite Theater is an Austin gem – a fully operational modern theater thriving within a stunning historic landmark. SRT is Austin’s oldest theater, erected in 1871, the same year Austin became the capitol of Texas. For forty years it was a German opera house; then in 1914 it became the home of the Scottish Rite Masons who treasured the site and remain watchful tenants of the building. In 2004 the Masons created the non-profit theater organization that exists today; nestled amid the State Capitol, University of Texas, and Austin’s museum district, we at Scottish Rite are dedicated to building community through the arts.
