Class: What We Hear When We Dance Tango

John Turci-Escobar holds a Ph.D. in music theory from Yale University and currently serves as Assistant Professor of Instruction in Theory and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies at the Butler School of Music, College of Fine Arts, University of Texas at Austin. His scholarship and teaching focus on tango music, dance, and culture. John is featured on BBC’s “The Forum” in the episode Up close with tango and on “The Listening Service” in the episode Latin America: It Takes Two.”
