2024 ASTF Festival Maestros:

Maria Tsiatsiani and Leandro Palou started dancing together in 2014 after meeting at a West End Theatre show in London. Their immediate connection made it an easy choice to start a wonderful partnership for performing and teaching. They are best known for their elegant style and technique but above all, they are most popular because of their generous and precise teaching style. Their classes are focused on embrace, connection, musicality, and technique.

Together they are Tango Por Dos Company dancers, BBC Strictly Come Dancing Choreographers, West End dancers, coaches at TangoChamps, and judges at the FITTA Championships in Buenos Aires, together are internationally acclaimed Tango dancers. They have performed in over 230 cities for Tango festivals, theatre shows, charity events, BBC radio, iTV, Mtv videos & various TV programs.

London Tango Academy

After many successful world tours, Buenos Aires-born dancer, Leandro set up his school in 2003 in London and since then London Tango Academy has been the busiest and most popular spot for Tango in the UK, from welcoming complete beginners to creating professional-level couples. Located in the heart of central London, LTA has warmly welcomed over 15,000 students of all ages, backgrounds since its opening back in 2003. In 2018 and 2019, this prestigious school was nominated in the category for Best International Tango School at the Premios Tango Awards in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
